The $100 million lawsuit former “Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen was bringing against Warner Bros. and show co-creator Chuck Lorre is not going to go to trial. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Alan Goodman decided on Wednesday that the lawsuit must settle in arbitration between the parties. Sheen’s lawyer, Marty Singer, tried to push for a public trial but Sheen’s contract with the show stipulated that lawsuits must be handled in arbitration, the judge further ruled that whether the arbitration will be private or public is a matter for the arbitrator to decide.
Warner Bros. released a statement that said “We’re very gratified by the court’s ruling enforcing the parties’ arbitration agreement” The lawsuit was filed just ten days after Sheen was fired from the television show.
