The 2011 CMT Music Awards was an eventful, fan voted affair Wednesday night with country music’s princess Taylor Swift winning the coveted video of the year award for her music video “Mine”, Miranda Lambert taking the female video of the year award and even Justin Bieber leaving with a trophy for his crossover collaborative effort with Rascal Flatts titled “That Should Be Me”.
Swift and Lambert were both unable to attend the ceremony, with Swift accepting her award live in Milwaukee where she was performing for 15,000 frenzied fans whom she referred to as “15,000 of my closest friends in Milwaukee”.
