Rob Lowe Talks Love, Work, Scandal and Sheen

Rob Lowe is perhaps best known as a member of the infamous “brat pack” which consisted of a teen heartthrob actor Rob and other young teen celebs who were often seen together, both on the big screen and off. The Brat Pack famously included stars such as Demi Moore, Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall, some of whom went on to continue their successful careers, but most of which whose careers slowly tapered off as the eighties came to an end and many of them went on to become troubled adults.

Rob Lowe famously battled addiction and controversies included a sex tape that was leaked in 1988 which showed Lowe performing sexual acts with two females, one of which was later discovered to be only sixteen at the time the tape was made. But Lowe has definitely rebounded from the dark times, as was apparent during Lowe’s recently aired interview on Oprah. The actor discussed love, work, past demons, introduced his wife and two teen sons and discussed his brand new autobiography which is humorously titled “Stories I Only Tell My Friends” Rob Lowe also spoke of childhood friend Charlie Sheen saying that the pair love each other but agree to disagree about sobriety and went on to say that all of Sheen’s recent antics are “Honestly, it really is Charlie being Charlie,”

Charlie Sheen Says Show Won't Go On Without Him

Charlie Sheen has infamously become America’s most watched train wreck, and he’s opened his mouth again. This time alleging that Warner Bros. hit show “Two and A Half Men” is “nothing” without him although he has publicly announced that he would return to the show if he was asked to do so. Sheen has since brought a $100 million lawsuit against show creator Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros. Despite all of the chaos surrounding Sheen’s departure, Warner Bros. executives have clearly stated that they will not  bring back the show with Sheen.

Lorre is currently working on restructuring the show and is looking for fresh faces to bring in, among those who are speculated as possible additions to the show are Woody Harrelson and Bob Saget. There is n word yet on if the show will return for certain, but the network is scheduled to release their fall lineup in the middle of May.

Lindsay Lohan On Her Way To Homeless Shelter?

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan may be on her way to The Los Angeles Downtown Women's Center, which is an organization that looks after homeless women. Of course Lohan wouldn’t be going there in need of their services, rather she would be there extending her services to their theater department. Lohan was ordered to serve 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service by a judge as a result of her trial involving the theft of a necklace from a Los Angeles jewelry store.

She was ordered to serve 360 of the hours doing community service at a homeless shelter and the remaining 120 days doing janitorial work at the LA County Morgue. Staff at the shelter seems to be as optimistic about the possibility as Lohan is said to be, staff at the shelter said that they are "extremely interested in having Lindsay contribute her talents when she kicks off her 360 hours of community service this week” while sources close to Lohan say that she’s said that she feels volunteering at the shelter would be a perfect fit for her.

Steve Carell Leaves The Office

The final episode of “The Office” that will feature Steve Carell aired Thursday night; Carell has starred on the show since 2005 and is departing a few episodes shy of the seventh season finale. His characters swan song both touched and outraged fans and critics of the show, who feel that while it was a fitting end to Carell’s legacy on the show that popularized the insidious “that’s what she said joke” and has aired since March of 2005.

In a surprising twist Carell’s character made his exit and was written off the show four episodes before the season’s finale, executive producer Greg Daniels says this is because the remaining episodes will show Dunder-Mifflin struggling to find a replacement for Carell’s character. Steve Carell himself said that he’s leaving the show to focus on his busy schedule full of movie roles.

Arnold Schwarzenegger May Return To Terminator Franchise

The former governator of California is back in the saddle; or rather former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is eyeing a return to the “Terminator” franchise if the script is to his liking. The rights to the multimillion dollar franchise were sold after the company who originally held the rights filed bankruptcy back in 2007. The most recent “Terminator” film was released in 2009 and grossed over $370 million worldwide, but did not feature Schwarzenegger except for a computer generated cameo of his likeness that appeared only briefly.

Schwarzenegger will also be appearing on the small screen in a television show centered on cartoon character The Governator, the show will also have an accompanying comic book developed in part by the co-creator of Spider-Man. If the name of the former governor’s character isn’t enough of an indication that he actually likes the nickname, Schwarzenegger is quoted as saying “"When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about 'the Governator,' I thought the word was so cool."

Jacob Lusk Profile

Jacob Lusk is a twenty-three year old man from Compton, California who is best known as finalist on American Idol, Jacob as of April 22, 2011 is on the show as a member of the Top 6 and will perform on the American Idol Summer Tour, Jacob was born on June 23rd, 1987 to parents Gregory and Anglia and grew up surrounded by music.

The singer was arrested in November of 2010 following an incident where he was caught riding a metro train without a ticket, and then missed his court date. He was initially going to receive two years of probation but begged the judge for leniency so he could be allowed to be on American Idol.
The soulful singer is gaining notoriety for his wide vocal range and gospel inspired arrangements of the songs he performs on Idol. He has expressed frustration at the way he’s being pulled in two directions with Idol judge Randy Jackson telling Jacob to be the over-the-top performer he truly is, while Jimmy Iovine, the producer the contestants work and record with continuously requests that Jacob tone his performances down. Jacob has almost exclusively received praise from the judges with such compliments as “You remind me of the reason why I love music”, and with a talent like Jacob’s we can only hope the voting public feels the same way.

Jury In Michael Jackson Trial To See Autopsy Photos

The latest development in the Michael Jackson murder case has unfolded, the jury will be allowed to see two post-mortem autopsy photographs of the deceased entertainer, the judge on the case Michael Pastor has also agreed to allow the prosecution to show snippits of “This Is It”, which is a documentary based on the tour Jackson had lined up prior to his death, the film is filled with footage of the singer rehearsing for his upcoming tour. The purpose of showing the film is to allow jurors to see the condition of the singer’s body and health in the days and weeks prior to his untimely demise, the two autopsy photos are said to be tragic, but not gruesome and one shows the deceased musician swathed in a hospital gown and the second shows the naked corpse with certain parts of his body hidden.

The defense team motioned to bar the photographs from being shown to the jurors out of fear that the pictures would enrage the jurors or otherwise sway their opinions. The prosecution hopes the photographs will show the jurors that while the singer was dangerously thin, he was definitely killed by the lethal mix of chemicals allegedly administered by Dr. Conrad Murray, the concert footage from “This Is It” has been edited to only show Jackson’s rehearsals just two days prior to his death on June 25, 2009.

Steven Tyler On Idol

As American Idol kicks into high gear with our Top 6 still standing, it’s clear that first-time judge and legendary rocker Steven Tyler has stolen the show. From his occasional singing along, to his off-the-wall comments to his charisma and soft spot with the ladies, Steven Tyler has proven himself to be an incredibly entertaining television personality. While Steven is admittedly more of a cheerleader than a judge on occasion, he always has praise and an encouraging word for the contestants who clearly have an enormous amount of pressure on them, and as if the American Idol schedule wasn’t demanding enough Mr. Tyler is due to hit the studio and then the road with his longtime band Aerosmith (1970-present) and is also releasing an autobiography titled “Does the Noise In My Head Bother You?”

Infamous and famously troubled Steven Tyler is a busy man these days, and we certainly hope he’ll be back for Idol next season, because whether he’s leering at the female contestants, dousing the Idol hopefuls in praise or sending the show’s producers into a tizzy with a well placed F-bomb, Mr. Tyler has revived the show.

Mel Gibson Says He Doesn't Care If He Acts Again

Actor/director/producer/screenwriter Mel Gibson (aged 55) has finally broken his silence regarding the controversy last year surrounding tapes made of Gibson during a conversation with ex Oksana Grigorieva. The actor has kept mum about the incident until now, when he stated he was incredibly angry during the time the recordings were made and that he doesn’t care if the bad publicity has an impact on his acting career, he was quoted as saying "I don't care if I don't act anymore… I could easily not act again. It's not a problem."

The recordings featured an enraged Gibson making sexist and racist comments that Gibson went on to say were not a fair representation of his character, Gibson said “I've never treated anyone badly or in a discriminatory way based on their gender, race, religion or sexuality — period, I don’t blame some people for thinking that though, from the garbage they heard on those leaked tapes, which have been edited. You have to put it all in the proper context of being in an irrationally heated discussion at the height of a breakdown, trying to get out of a really unhealthy relationship. It's one terribly awful moment in time, said to one person, in the span of one day and doesn't represent what I truly believe or how I've treated people my entire life."

Stefano Langone Voted Off Of American Idol

Twenty-two year old crooner Stefano Langone was sent packing last night on American Idol following a spirited performance of Ne-Yo’s hit song “Closer”, the theme on this  week’s episode of Idol was “Songs From the 21st Century” and while Stefano’s rendition of the wildly popular song garnered praise from the judges, the voting public clearly didn’t feel the same way. The bottom three this week consisted of Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk and Stefano Langone, Langone was initially eliminated from Idol during the Top 24 week, but was saved by the judges as their wildcard, after being saved Stefano went on to land himself in the bottom three four times before he was ultimately eliminated.

Of his elimination Stefano has been extremely positive, saying that he appreciates the love, support and mentoring from Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony and that he went on American Idol only hoping to gain enough exposure to get a foot in the door of the music industry. The eliminated contestant smiled through his final performance on the Idol stage and maintains his positive attitude and optimism.
