The custody dispute between actress Halle Berry and her daughter’s father Gabriel Aubry has gotten even uglier, with Berry filing a legal complaint requesting that the judge hold Aubry in contempt for allegedly not cooperating with the custody agreement. Berry and her lawyers Neal Hersh and Judy Bogen were victorious in court Friday morning while arguing family law with Gabriel’s legal team. TMZ reported that the dispute relates to the custody agreement that the couple signed, in the agreement there is a provision that dictates when each of the parents get to spend time with Nahla while Berry is filming a movie.
Berry is set to be going to Europe soon to begin filming a movie, and the two parents couldn’t agree on how to divide their time with their daughter Nahla. The judge ultimately sided with Berry and her legal team’s understanding of the so-called “movie clause” and ruled in Berry’s favor, meaning that Aubry won’t get the amount of time with Nahla that he was hoping for.

Rapper DMX was arrested on Wednesday on charges of speeding and driving without a valid license, this arrest comes a month after his release from prison in Arizona where he was serving a sentence for a violation of his probation. The forty year old rapper has famously had countless legal troubles in recent years, with six arrests in the last three years. Police say that the rapper was driving a Chrysler 300 and hit speeds as high as 102 miles per hour on the freeway, severely bypassing the freeways 65 mph speed limit. DMX was released on July 19th after serving seven months in an Arizona prison after admitting to judges that he had violated his probation by consuming alcohol at a concert.
Though the rapper admits that he was speeding, he claims he did not hit the 100 mph speeds the police are claiming he did. The rapper has told TMZ “I was going 85 miles per hour…I know for a fact I didn’t go more than 90.” He further claims that though he was speeding, he still plans to sue for harassment and is having discussions with lawyers. He added “I’m in discussions with multiple lawyers who are not afraid to go against the system in helping me clear my name because I have been harassed.”
Yankee baseball player Derek Jeter and his longtime girlfriend Minka Kelly have confirmed that they have separated after three years together. A representative for Kelly confirmed to People that the couple had split, with other sources saying that “they care about each other and it was amicable. They’re still friends.” During their time as a couple, the pair was notoriously famous for keeping mum about their relationship. Last month, Kelly was in attendance clapping, cheering and smiling when Jeter became the first Yankee to reach 3,000 hits.
Kelly is a thirty-one year old actress who is the daughter of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay. Kelly has appeared in films including 2009 hit “(500) Days of Summer”. “The Roomate”, and “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift”. Kelly has also appeared on television shows including “Drake & Josh”, “What I Like About You”, and is set to begin starring in ABC’s upcoming reboot of “Charlie’s Angels” on September 22nd, 2011.
August 25th, 2011 marked the tenth year since the death of R&B singer Aaliyah Haughton who died in 2001 in a plane crash. The singer was born on January 16th, 1979 and was twenty-two when she passed away in the Bahamas. The rising star was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Aaliyah was signed to Blackground Records when she was twelve and began recording her debut album with R.Kelly when she was just fourteen. Aaliyah released a total of three albums during her career: “Age Ain’t Nothin But a Number” in 1994, “One in a Million” in 1996 and “Aaliyah” in 2001. Aaliyah’s self-titled album was released only two months before the singer’s untimely demise, but enjoyed largely favorable reviews and has sold about 13 million copies worldwide.
At 6:45 pm on August 25th, 2001, Aaliyah and various members of her entourage boarded a twin-engine plan in the Bahamas after filming the music video for “Rock the Boat”. The group had a flight scheduled for the following day, but was anxious to leave the islands when filming finished early. The aircraft was not equipped to accommodate the amount of people and equipment it was carrying at takeoff, but nevertheless, when the plane took off there was one passenger more than the plane was certified to carry. The plane was an estimated 700 pounds heavier than its maximum weight and crashed almost immediately after takeoff, only 200 feet from the runway. The singer and the eight others on board the airplane were all killed, including the pilot and members of Aaliyah’s staff, including hair stylist Eric Forman, Anthony Dodd, security guard Scott Gallin, video producer Douglas Kratz, stylist Christopher Maldonado and two Blackground Records employees.
The coroner concluded that Aaliyah died from severe burns, shock and a blow to the head; in addition it was found that she also had a weak heart. It was concluded that even if Aaliyah had survived the crash she would have been unable to recover from her injuries. The investigation stated that “the airplane was seen lifting off the runway and then nose down…and then exploding in flames”. An autopsy on the pilot revealed that Luis Morales had cocaine and alcohol in his system and further investigation showed that Morales had falsified the hours of flight time he needed in order to get his job. The plane was also severely overloaded with the weight unevenly proportioned. Posthumously, it has been calculated that Aayliah’s albums have sold between 24 and 32 million copies worldwide.

|Apple CEO Steve Jobs Medical Resignation|
Steve Jobs, the quintessential genius that revived Apple from a fruitless death, resigned today for medical reasons.
Truly. a sad day for Apple stock holders and supporters around the world, but more importantly sad news for his family as well.
His adoptive parents Paul and Clara Jobs, his one sister Patty, a biological sister Mona Simpson, His eldest daughter, Harvard graduate Lisa Brennan-Jobs and his three children born with wife Stanford MBA Laurene Powell. The world is going to adjust to some other tech God attempting to re-invent the wonderful Apple products most of us cant live without, the conveniences we've grown accustomed to and the accessibility to reach so many countries with the push of a button!
It is safe to say that Steve Jobs accomplished so very much in his "Change the world" dream life. But, its unfortunate that after his 8 year battle with pancreatic cancer, it would seem apparent that the news of Steve surviving this cancer will not be realized and this famil;y will have far more to mourn than not being able to unlock the next generation of Apple Ipads 4, 5,6, and 7.
Our prayers are that he has enough time to strengthen his solid bond with his family and stress the importance of his legacy to all of his children.
We wish you the best, Mr. Jobs!
(IMPORTANT KEY FACTS ABOUT STEVE JOBS AND APPLE PRODUCTS)
The New Yorker on Jobs' impact on personal computing:
"No technology company has ever risen -- and then fallen -- so far so fast. Under Jobs's passionate leadership, Apple was the firm that, with the Apple II, gave birth to the personal-computer industry and, with the Macintosh, literally changed the face of technology itself."
Jobs redefined the business world, says Fortune:
"In the past 10 years alone he has radically and lucratively reordered three markets -- music, movies, and mobile telephones -- and his impact on his original industry, computing, has only grown.
"Remaking any one business is a career-defining achievement; four is unheard-of. Think about that for a moment. Henry Ford altered the course of the nascent auto industry. PanAm's Juan Trippe invented the global airline. Conrad Hilton internationalized American hospitality. In all instances, and many more like them, these entrepreneurs turned captains of industry defined a single market that had previously not been dominated by anyone. The industries that Jobs has turned topsy-turvy already existed when he focused on them."
On Wednesday, May 26, 2010, just after 2:30 p.m., the unthinkable happened: Apple became the largest company in the tech universe, and, after ExxonMobil, the second largest in the nation. For months, its market capitalization had hovered just under that of Microsoft -- the giant that buried Apple and then saved it from almost certain demise with a $150 million investment in 1997.
Any entrepreneur with the taste of being more savvy in business should take from this example of an exemplary stature of confidence, drive and determination and maybe you will surpass your personal struggles and become the next accidential millionaire like Mr. Steve Jobs
