Magic Mike

Magic Mike is an upcoming film directed by Steven Soderbergh starring Channing Tatum,Alex Pettyfer,Matthew McConaughey,Cody Horn,Joe Manganiello and Matt Borner in leading roles.Veteran stripper Magic Mike(Tatum)teaches a novice about the occupation while seeking a lifestyle outside of stripping with the help of his protege's sister.They work at Club Xquisite which is owned by former stripper Dallas.

It is based on the screenplay by Reid Carolin who is one of the producers of the film.The screenplay is based partly on Tatum's experiences as a stripper in Tampa when he was 19 years old.The project was in April 2011 and after Soderbergh cast Tatum and Pettyfer as lead roles Carolin revised the screenplay.Filming began in Tampa in September 2011and it wrapped  by October.The first trailer for Magic Mike was released on April 18 2012.Warner Bros.acquired distribution rights to the produced film on October 27 2011and scheduled it for a June 29 2012 US opening.
