Not sure where I was, what I ate or even my frame of mind
All I can remember were the images on my TV had me lost in time
My words I don’t remember, I just remember being in awe
My mind not trying to believe what my eyes just saw
I did not budge. I couldn’t move. Just in silence did I stare
Then word came about the Pentagon, WAIT I HAVE FRIENDS WORKING THERE
Still I could not move. No words were said. I started to offer prayer
All the time saying over & over God this isn’t fair
I hoped this was a dream then suddenly I went numb
As words blared out “MORE ATTACKS MAY COME”
“No, this can’t be happening!” I prayed harder & I prayed more
All while wondering the who, why & what for
A DAY OF INFAMY many have called it such
A day that many lives were changed so much
You may not remember where you were when that moment came
You may not remember the exact moment that the whole world changed
What happened to others because of it may not have happened to you
Yet the main thing of remembering is always that you do…
NEVER FORGET 9/11/2001
